Keyboard Music [Paperback] Review

Dover publishing has succeeded in printing a very affordable edition of the Bach-Gesellschaft editions of these major Bach works.The only complaint is that the print is rather small, so there's not much room to write in fingering,of which there are none. So this book, by the nature of the music and the lack of fingering, is not for the beginner.
That's the only complaint that prevented a five-star rating.Recommended, despite the print size!

$30 Music School (Book) [Paperback] Review

This book is a great read. I'm a musician with the attention span of a bird, and I read $30 Music School in a day. Believe me. That's saying a lot. I've read a load of music business-related books, and none of them quite measure up to the experience of reading this one.
It's written with a style I can relate to with loads of humor and no-bull lessons. It's like chewing the fat about every aspect of what it means to be a musician with a friend of yours. Hell...I even had a great time reading about how to shop for and tune a drumset - and I'm a guitarist. (The chapters about internet promotion and songwriting basics are especially enlightening!)
If you're on a "mission from God" to take your music to a new level, you probably just landed here for a reason.
This book is exactly what the title says.

I bought this book for my 11 year old granddaughter who was appearing in her first local theatre company play which was, of course, "Annie".She loved the book and took it to the post performance dinner with her to have the cast sign it.She had a hard time getting the book back as every cast member had to read it through before signing.A great little memento for anyone who loved the play.I would have liked to see a little more about the history of "Little Orphan Annie" but it was, after all, about the play and not the comic strip.

Piano Concerto in Full Score [Paperback] Review

A well presented , easy to follow score. This is a must for any lover of this concerto. It is worth buying to appreciate both the simplicity and complexity of the piano part. Franz Liszt apparently played it at sight - how good was he! Great product - highly recommended.

It is mind-boggling to consider that such an outstanding resource is available at such a low price!The selection of worship music is great for the aspiring violinist.All songs are easy enough for the beginning student.

Unlike some of the other Hal Leonard CD/Book sets, this CD does not provide both demo and accompaniment tracks.The melody is played on all of the tracks, but low enough that the solo violin will easily cover it.A different instrument is used for the melody.The CD does not come with a slow-down program either, but such a program is really not necessary with these selections.

If you are an aspiring violinist, then this book should be in your possession; for the exceptional value, there is no reason for it not to be!
