Nearly 10 years ago a club that I frequently played asked me to play for St. Patrick's day. I said I would. Then they asked if I could sing some traditional Irish songs. I said I would. I went out in search of an Irish song book, and could only find this. I'm not sure that it was meant for a guitar player, but I made it work. I've loved it ever since. If you are just starting out on the guitar you'll need a separate chord book, because this does not give diagrams. It only offers chord names above the lyrics. For other instruments, this is only written in the treble clef and only offers melodies. Aside from having some great songs, the lyrics are hilarious to read. From Mark John Sternal Author of "GUITAR: Total Scales Techniques and Applications"
