Narada Easy Piano Sampler (Easy Piano Songbook) [Paperback] Review

This book is full of nice and easy piano solos which are great to just pull out and play if you need a break from your more demanding piano pieces. I like all but two of the songs- Behind the Waterfall by Lanz and the one called Ocala- they're too repetative and are boring to play. These aren't the exact music that the artists themselves play. -They're slightly simplified versions that are almost completely as pretty as the originals.

I have a multitude of Hal Leonard Vocal Library publications in my library and I am very pleased with the quality... especially for the price.Even at full price (which I have yet to pay for one of these gems at Amazon), they are well worth it.I recommend "The Vocal Library" to students and educators alike.

The Oratorio Anthology: The Vocal Library Baritone/Bass [Paperback] Review

It's a very good book, covering many of the basics and several forgotten masterpieces.Puccini's Crucifixus from his Messa di Gloria is a good example of the fantastic forgotten works that are in here.The versions of Handel's Messiah are not correct, however.They are from an easy version for students; so if you are looking to do any Messiah, then get a copy of the score and not this book.

The Bass Book [Paperback] Review

I wrote a email to Bacon and Moorhouse detailing my reasons for the above title. I own alot of Gibsons and Epiphones been playing out and in for over 30 years. They talk very little on the great Gibsons and the large list of known players of Gibsons, they pretty much state that the Tbird was all Gibson could do right. If i could have looked at it before buying I wouldnt have bought it. Should have been called "The Fender Bass Book", uninformed or definitely biased big time.

Accent on Achievement Book 1 Horn in F [Student Edition] [Paperback] Review

I'm an experienced musician, and took a semester of French Horn in college 30 years ago. But I'd forgotten a lot, so I needed this book to help me relearn how to read music for the horn.I like playing along with the accompaniments. But anyone who has never played before will still need a teacher to show them how to hold the horn, how to drain the spit valve, how to play different pitches, etc. I don't like that I can't select tracks on the CD.Every time I insert the disk, I have to manually click up to the number of the exercise I want. But it's a great little book to get started with playing simple tunes.
